Homework Policy
Grades Pre-K to 2

We utilize a positve -commendation system to reward students behaviors. There is a respect matrix that contains the expected behaviors. Students receive commendation cards which they can exchange for rewards. Oue goal is always to help our students reflect and learn from their actions, so they can become productive and respectful citizens.

We follow the DOE disclipline code.

In the event that there is an emergency and we have to evacuate the building, our school has designated locations where we will take our students.  For information about our students' whereabouts and reunification procedures, please call 311.
Cellular Phones

Our school policy is that students can bring phones; however, they must keep them in their backpacks and turned off.  If the phone is taken out, it will be retrieved and a parent will have to pick it up.

Cellular Phone Policy

There is now a “no head lice” policy for all NYC public schools, but no longer a “no nit” policy. Students found to have live head lice will be excluded from school and not allowed to return until they are lice-free. Students will be reexamined in 14 days to confirm that they have remained lice-free.  Students with nits and no evidence of live head lice will not be excluded from school.

Read DOE policy

The Department of Education (DOE) is committed to identifying pests, providing thorough inspections of schools, and having licensed pest control specialists treat rooms as appropriate.
